Walk between the monumental sculptures

From 19 June to 18 September, the Old Antibes is adorned with 19 air sculptures by Nicolas Lavarenne. An artistic journey "Open Air" to discover 24/24 ...

It's looking up we can best admire the monumental works of Nicolas Lavarenne during an outdoor exhibition from 19 June to 18 September. Eighteen years after "Sculptures in sunny Antibes", he was the winner in 1998, the artist draws again the old town with 19 of his works.

Overlooking the sea from the ramparts, suspended between two streets, watching over the city from the Marine door, or fighting on the esplanade du Pré Fishermen bronze beings Nicolas Lavarenne perched on stilts, will animate the landscape Antibes.

La Galerie des Bains-Douches will echo there exposing parts of the artist, and allow the public to be informed every day from 9am to midnight.

An international artist

Born in Nice in 1953, Nicolas Lavarenne his first steps in ornamental sculpture in 1978. Then in 1987, his works were exhibited in New York and Los Angeles.

This is also the period of the first tests in bronze ... Soon the monumental pieces of orders come from around the world for urban exhibitions and installations in increasingly prestigious venues.

This summer, it's Antibes will be the new home port of this international artist and its air sculptures ...
